–Support the Solidarity Fund for the Church in Africa
Next week our parish will take up a collection to support the Solidarity Fund for the Church in Africa. As the Church in Africa grows, its need for pastoral leaders increases. The Solidarity Fund supports pastoral projects that build the capacity of the Church and foster lasting peace and reconciliation across a continent often marked by division and tension. Parish Family Advisory Council Quarterly Update

This summer marks the two-year anniversary of Partners in the Gospel. During these past two years, our parish family has begun the work of reimagining how we can best proclaim and live the joy of the Gospel while serving the needs of our communities for generations to come.

This fall, we’ll begin Phase 3, Who Does God Want Us to Become? Together, we’ll prayerfully discern a shared vision for our parish family and identify the priorities that will guide our ministries, outreach, and mission for years to come. This work will become the foundation of our One Parish Plan.

Please save the dates for our next two Parish Family Listening Sessions on Saturday, September 12, and Saturday, November 7. More details will be shared later this summer.

This summer, the feasibility study exploring the possibility of the Sacred Heart of Jesus campus becoming a Marian shrine also continues. This remains a time of prayerful discernment; no decisions have been made. If the feasibility study is favorable, informational gatherings will be held this fall to share what we’ve learned and answer questions.

As Archbishop Etienne reminds us, Partners in the Gospel belongs to all of us. Please continue praying for these efforts, asking God to help us truly listen to the promptings of the Holy Spirit and allow Him to shape the desires of our hearts.

We hope you’re having a beautiful and restful summer. Thank you for your continued prayers and partnership, and we look forward to seeing you this fall!

With gratitude,

Susie Fritzky

This past spring, lay parish family staff attended the Archdiocesan Workers in the Vineyard Lay Convocation–a day of prayer, community, and reflection. It was rejuvenating to spend time in community with our colleagues at other parishes and inspirational to listen to speakers such as Deacon Frank of Operation Nightwatch describe how he is personally answering the call to serve. Professional development days such as these are led and sponsored by the Archdiocese, which means they are possible through the support of the Annual Catholic Appeal. Thank you for your generosity for these programs.

Here is the status for our three parishes. It’s not too late to donate. Go to this link. Learn about our parish family rebate projects here.

–Sacred Heart of Jesus
A very big thank you to the Sacred Heart community—we have reached and surpassed our ACA goal of $23,381! The parish will receive the extra funds as a rebate toward our project. The current total is $43,079.

–Our Lady of Fatima
A very big thank you to the Our Lady of Fatima community—we have reached our ACA goal of $86,645! The current total is $94,585.

–St. Anne
A very big thank you to the St. Anne community—we are making steady progress but still need more help to make our goal of $82,861. If you have not yet given, please prayerfully consider it. Any amount is appreciated. The current total is $59,519.

–Coffee and Donuts
At Our Lady of Fatima, if you are able to help with hosting, set up, and clean up in August, please call the parish office (206)283-1456 or email [email protected]. Similarly, if you are feeling called to help with the Coffee and Donut ministry at St. Anne or Sacred Heart, please contact the parish office.

–St. Martin Meal Program–Can you bring a meal this Tuesday?
This Meal Program provide meals twice a month to men at the St. Martin de Porres shelter. Volunteers do sign up in advance, but we could use some extra meals for these summer dates: July 21, August 4, and August 18. Volunteers are asked to bring 10 individually packed meals to Our Lady of Fatima’s parking lot on the scheduled Tuesdays between 4:30-5:00 PM. The requested meal is a “hearty protein” sandwich (beef, ham, turkey, chicken with sliced cheese) and extras that include small Cokes, waters, chips, snack bars, instant soups, canned fruit & veggies with pop off lids, cookies or treats. Zip locks with strawberries, pickles, olives. Can be creative! No need to sign up for these summer dates, simply come with the meals at the designated day and time.

We are dependent on our drivers to make the deliveries to St. Martin’s in the Fatima bus. We need a couple more people to do this important part just once or twice on a season (April-September & October-March). Please contact Jim for qualifications (basic) and training (very simple).

If you are interested in joining the next schedule for October-April, we will be working on it soon! Volunteers can provide meals as often as they choose. Please contact Sue and Teresa by August 1st.

Have a blessed week!
