Thank you to all those who have made a gift to the 2026 Annual Catholic Appeal!
Parish progress towards our goals are as follows:
Sacred Heart of Jesus: 71% of the goal $23,381
Our Lady of Fatima: 41.9% of the goal $86,645
St. Anne: 29% of the goal $82,861
Through the Annual Catholic Appeal, our parish has been answering the call to support our shared mission – to help one another encounter Christ and put the Gospel into concrete action. Your gift is integral to bringing faith formation programs to life, inviting youth and young adults into the Church, fostering a welcoming community, and providing for the spiritual and physical needs of every person we encounter. If you have not yet made your gift, please consider filling out a pew envelope or making your gift online. All gifts above our goal will go towards parish projects that are outlined here.
A lot has been happening across our three campuses to maintain and improve our facilities.
–Sacred Heart of Jesus
- When the parish office moved to the basement space, there were necessary updates and adjustments needed for our internet service.
- Working closely with the county, we took some simple steps to help reduce rodent activity in the area.
- We will be making some minor repairs to the outside lift at the Downtown school.
–Our Lady of Fatima
- Serviced the church, rectory, and parish office fire extinguishers and replaced a few extinguishers requiring hydrostatic tests.
- Bearing assemblies for the church floor heat pump and the church recirculation pump were replaced along with the air compressor that controls the Pneumatic Control Heating System in the Parish Center. We also replaced two of the original (1967) radiant heat line air bleeders in the boiler room—they were letting water escape from the “closed” radiant system.
- Replaced a Parish Center door “crash bar” mechanism and repaired a failed internal church roof drain pipe that was flooding the floor in the church.
- ·Replaced the Hot Water expansion tank at the Parish Office — the internal bladder had failed.
- Thank you for all who came to our very successful and gratifying Spring Cleanup event! We filled almost 20 large yard waste bags.
- Over the summer, we be replacing broken chairs and table tops using the proceeds from the #iGiveCatholic donations.
–St. Anne
- The new St. Francis statue has been installed in the garden and was blessed by Fr. Kitema.
- Replaced a broken switch on the Church HVAC that had stopped the bathrooms and sacristy from being heated.
- The kneelers in the House of Prayer were repadded and upholstered thanks to a generous donor.
- Right before Easter, the lock on the tabernacle broke, which means the door is stuck closed. We had a locksmith open it, but the antique mechanism is still stuck and unuseable in its current state. We are currently using a temporary tabernacle in the side chapel.
- Thank you to all who helped for our Earth Day Spring Cleanup event.
- A TV monitor has been installed in the Assembly Room for the use of ministry and small groups who use this space.
- Our part-time groundskeeper Bill Trettenero has retired. Nazario Murillo Garcia, who works most days at Sacred Heart, will be working at St Anne one day per week.
- Replaced filters in the school HVAC and also replaced a broken thermostat and switch in the kitchen allowing for proper functioning of heating.
- Also at the school, we repaired a door closer and release mechanism for the main school door.
- This summer will include the next area of the roof to be repaired.
